If you try to activate MS Office (or other products) by phone, even though the GUI offers this, when selected it will display a message that phone activation is no longer available. Not true, they just stopped publishing the phone number.
Dial +1 (888) 652-2342, follow the prompts, and you'll can still activate your product over the phone.
